Ik vind het echt super wanneer een blogger of youtuber een boek uitbrengt. En natuurlijk ben ik dan ook enorm benieuwd naar de inhoud van het boek etc! Via http://www.bol.com kocht ik laatst twee boeken van Britse youtubers/bloggers: Girl Online geschreven door Zoe Sugg en Love, Tanya geschreven door Tanya Burr.

❤ GIRL ONLINE BY ZOE SUGG (€ 16,99)
Zoe Sugg aka Zoella is één van m'n favoriete Britse Youtubers, dus je kan m'n 'excitement' al bedenken toen ik wist dat ze een boek zou schrijven. Eigenlijk niet 'een' boek, maar twee, want ze heeft een boekendeal met Penguin om twee boeken uit te brengen.
Wanneer een beauty/fashion youtuber een boek uitbrengt, gaat deze meestal over beauty, fashion, life, etc. Maar Zoe koos ervoor om echt een roman uit te brengen, fijn!
Toch blijft het thema van het boek een beetje in de bloggersfeer hangen. Het gaat namelijk Penny, zij heeft en blog waar ze in het geheim over haar leven blogt. Wanneer ze naar New York word gestuurd, ontmoet ze Noah en word verliefd. Hij heeft echter ook een geheim, en eentje dat het geheim van Penny in gevaar zou kunnen brengen.
Ik heb het boek in het Engels gekocht, gewoon omdat ik zo liever lees (ben ik nu raar?). Ik heb hem nog niet helemaal uitgelezen maar het is best een fijn boek. Het leest heel vlot, maar het verhaal is wel wat voorspelbaar.
Zoe Sugg aka Zoella is one of my favorite British Youtubers, so you can imagine my excitement when i found out she got the chance to write a book. Well, actually not 'a' book, but two, she got a bookdeal with Penguin to release two novels.
Most times, when a beauty/fashion blogger/youtuber releases a book, it's usually about beauty, fashion, life, etc. But Zoe choose to bring out a novel, fun!
However, the theme from the book lingers around blogging. The story is about Penny, who secretly writes about her life on her blog. When her family sends her off to New York she meets Noah and falls in love. However, he also has a secret, and this is one that can bring out Penny's secret.
I bought the book in English, because I find it more nicer to read (am I weird now?). I haven't finished it yet, but so far it's been easy and pleasant to read. However the story can be a bit predictable.
❤ LOVE, TANYA BY TANYA BURR (€ 13,99)
Het tweede boek dat ik kocht was het boek van Tanya Burr. Nog zo'n leuke Youtuber! Haar boek gaat meer over, goh ja, ik zou zeggen over haar en wat zij leuk vind een beetje, maar in het boek heb je ook de kans om zelf lijstjes te maken. bv. maak een lijst van de dingen die jou blij maken.
Het boek is opgedeeld in een aantal duidelijke hoofdstukken: twee hoofdstukken over haar kindertijd en jeugd, skincare essentials, make-up essentials, haar- en nail essentials, fashion, liefde, het leven, bakken & recepten, zelfvertrouwen en gelukkig zijn, youtube en tot slot, dingen om naar uit te kijken. Persoonlijk vind ik haar indelingen echt top! Ik vind het super dat haar boek gaat over beauty en fashion, maar dat er ook haar favoriete recepten aan bod komen, een paar hoofdstukken over Tanya zelf en leuke motivatie hoofdstukken. Het boek straalt echt Tanya uit, zowel de layout als de inhoud. Ik ben fan!
The second book I bought was Tanya Burr's book. Another awesome Youtuber! Her book goes more about, well, I would say about her and her likes a little bit and, but in the book you also get the chance to make lists yourself. For example: a list with things that make you happy.
The book is divided in a couple of clear chapters: two chapters on Tanya's childhood and youth, her skincare essentials, make-up essentials, hair- and nail essentials, fashion, love, life, baking & recipes, confidence and happiness, Youtube and some thing to look forward to. Personally I love these different chapters! I love the fact the book is about beauty and fashion, but she also made room for her favorite recipes, chapters about herself and some fun motivational chapters. The book really breathes Tanya, layout-wise and content. I'm a fan!
